Store Aisle Turns Bridal Path For Wedding MarchAllison Wollam - City Beat Robbins Bros. is billed as the World's Biggest Engagement Ring Store. The Houston location actually served as a wedding venue for one local couple. Jesse Miller and Tara Rodriguez visited the Galleria-area Robbins Bros. store on Aug. 3 to purchase wedding rings. Sales associate Ray Sullins assisted the couple in selecting rings that met their modest budget. The next morning Sullins followed up and learned the pair planned to get married by a Justice of the Peace that afternoon. And, as recent newcomers to Houston, the couple had no family or friends to attend the wedding. Sullins, an ordained minister, offered to marry Miller and Rodriguez. The rest of the staff rallied to help with the ceremony and reception. The Aug. 4 wedding marked the first nuptials in the Robbins Bros. chain. Store manager J.D. Dahler escorted the bride down the aisle. Sales associates Etienne Boyd and Kristi Gonzalez served as best man and maid-of-honor. Robbins Bros. provided the bouquet, rose petals for the aisle, champagne and a wedding cake. Sullins says he loves being part of the romance that comes with his job. "I felt that our store would be a much better place than the Justice of the Peace to hold the ceremony," says Sullins. "And best of all, we are free."
